Every Saturn pool begins as a conversation about your land rather than a page from a catalogue. Space is rarely the constraint in Wittmann, so design here is about deciding what the yard is for. A pool close to the house is cheaper to run and easier to supervise. A pool set further out captures the view and the sunsets but adds trenching, plumbing and power runs. Neither is wrong. 02 / Construction
New Pool Construction
We build concrete, in-ground pools, the most durable shell available in desert ground. A poured shell copes with ground movement and heat swings in a way a prefabricated one cannot, and it leaves you free on shape, depth and size. Most builds run 8 to 12 weeks depending on scope, permits, inspections and weather. Wittmann is unincorporated, so permits go through Maricopa County Planning and Development. Before any of that we check the access route, because gunite rigs and concrete trucks are heavy and not every road out here is paved.

03 / Spas
New Spa Construction
A spa can be lifted into the pool as a spillover feature or built on its own as a standalone retreat. Either route, it is drawn and poured within the same project, so tile, finish and decking read as one piece rather than an afterthought bolted on a year later. There is very little light pollution out here, and sitting in a spa under a Wittmann sky is a genuinely different experience to doing the same thing in town. We size the plumbing and equipment for that from the outset.

04 / Features
Pool Features and Add-ons
This is where a pool stops being a rectangle of water. Water features, fire, lighting, shade and decking all change how often the yard gets used. On open land the priorities shift. Shade and wind matter more than they do behind block walls, since there is nothing out here to break either the sun or the breeze. A ramada and some thought about which way the prevailing wind runs will do more for daily use than an extra water feature.

The best part of your pool is the part you will never see.
Steel, plumbing and gunite go underground the day after they are inspected. Nobody photographs that stage. It is also the part that decides whether your pool still looks right a decade from now. Wittmann is easy ground to dig and easy ground to get wrong. The excavation is usually straightforward on flat alluvial soil, but the runs are long, the power may be a good distance away and there is no city inspector next door. What holds up out here is what the builder did when nobody was watching.

FAQ for Wittmann Residents
These are the questions Wittmann owners ask us most. Building on rural county land raises practical issues a subdivision never does, so most of these answers are about utilities, access and water rather than design.
How much does a concrete swimming pool cost in Wittmann?
Price comes down to interior and decking materials, the equipment package, and features such as waterfalls, lighting and firepits. Wittmann shifts where the money goes rather than simply raising it. The dig is usually easy on flat alluvial ground, which helps. What adds cost is distance: trenching for plumbing and power, bringing a supply to an equipment pad that may sit a long way from the meter, and getting heavy vehicles down an unpaved road. None of it is unusual out here, but it belongs in the quote from the start.
A real figure needs a real look at the property. We drive the access road, find the power, check the water situation and pace out the runs, then come back with pricing built around your parcel instead of an average.
How long will my new pool take to build in Wittmann?
Pool projects typically take 8 to 12 weeks once construction begins. Scheduling, scope, permits, inspections, material availability and weather all move that. Out here weather has a second effect worth knowing about. Monsoon rain can make an unpaved access road impassable for heavy vehicles for a day or two after a storm, which occasionally shifts a gunite or concrete delivery. We plan around the season rather than pretending it will not happen.
Can I fill the pool from a shared well?
This is the Wittmann question, and the answer depends on your setup. Plenty of parcels here are on a shared or community well rather than a private one, which means the water you draw is water your neighbors also rely on. Filling a pool takes thousands of gallons in a short window, and doing that from a shared system without a conversation is a good way to fall out with people you will be living beside for years. The usual solution is a water hauling company delivering the fill by truck, which we build into the quote. If you are on a private well, it is still worth protecting the pump rather than working it that hard.
Who issues the pool permit in Wittmann?
Maricopa County, since Wittmann is unincorporated and has no town hall of its own. Pools, spas and pool barriers are a specific permit category with Maricopa County Planning and Development, working to the 2021 code cycle with county amendments. Plan review is digital and covers building code, zoning, drainage and site conditions together. Barrier requirements still apply in full out here, which surprises some owners who assume rural land is treated differently. It is not. Septic permits go through county Environmental Services and wells through the Arizona Department of Water Resources.
How far is the power from where the pool will go?
It matters more than almost anything else on the quote. Pool equipment needs a proper supply, and on parcels where power sits at the property line or a few hundred feet from the house, getting it to an equipment pad means trenching and conduit rather than a short spur. That cost scales with distance, so where you put the pool changes the electrical bill as much as the plumbing one. We locate the existing service on the site visit and lay the pad out to keep the run sensible, which sometimes means siting the pool slightly differently to where you first imagined it.
Can your trucks actually reach my property?
Almost always, but it needs checking rather than assuming. A pool build brings in an excavator, gunite equipment, concrete trucks and delivery vehicles, all of them heavy. Some Wittmann parcels sit a mile or two off the paved road on a dirt easement, and a soft or rutted track is a real problem for a loaded truck. We drive the route before quoting. Where access is marginal we plan around it, whether that means grading the approach, staging deliveries differently or scheduling to avoid the wettest part of the season.
Is there anything restricting what I can build?
Often there is no HOA at all, which is one of the reasons people move out here. That said, plenty of Wittmann parcels carry deed restrictions even without an association, covering things like building types or minimum sizes, and some properties sit near Luke Air Force Base flight corridors where accident potential zoning affects what can be built. County zoning and setbacks apply regardless. We check the parcel record at the start so nobody discovers a restriction after a design has been drawn.
